6 (1962). He died in Mexico City, Raul Antonio Carrillo Salgado, BCS physician and teacher, promoter of public health in their home institution. Born June 13, 1909.
8 (1730). It was founded Mission San José del Cabo by Jesuit priest Father Nicholas Tamaral and visitor José de Echeverría, with financial sponsorship of Don Joseph de la Puente and Peña, Marquis de Villapuente. Remained there as minister P. Tamaral, who set up visits to La Soledad and Santa Rosa, and was killed in the last place at the start of the insurrection Pericues of 1734-1736.
8 (1748). Loreto died in the Jesuit Clemente Guillén, after 34 years as a missionary in California. Born in the capital of Zacatecas in 1677. He entered the novitiate in the Society of Jesus at 19 years old and was ordained ten years later in Oaxaca. Sailed to California in 1713 and survived a wreck trip. He was sent to minister to the mission of San Juan Bautista Ligüí or Malibat and then founded the Mission Dolores. It was extraordinary traveler and explorer, chronicler of his findings, co-founder of the mission Our Lady of Pilar de La Paz in 1720 with parents Jaime Bravo and Juan Ugarte. He was appointed inspector immediately of the California missions, in which the insurrection faced character Pericues of 1734-1736. In California itself was over and visitor of the missions again. He returned to Los Dolores, and later retired due to illness to Loreto, where he died.
8 (1910). Born in Asuncion, Paraguay, Cesar Atilio Benitez Abente, figure in the history of air communications of Baja California Sur. He died on September 9, 1997.
